Courses Available at Southern Cross Catholic College

Alongside these specialised VET pathways, students continue to access a suite of mandatory and elective courses, ensuring a balanced education that combines industry‑specific expertise with comprehensive academic study.
School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship (SBAT)
Southern Cross Catholic College provides a unique opportunity to combine paid work with training in a nationally recognised qualification, while also earning credit towards the HSC. This SBAT pathway enables students to begin an apprenticeship or complete a traineeship while still at school.
- School Based Traineeships (SBTs): Available over two years to all Year 10, 11 and 12 students.
- School Based Apprenticeships (SBAs): Available over five years to Year 11 and 12 students.
All SBATs are coordinated through the school SBAT Coordinator, the SCS Education Officer (VET) and the Apprentice Connect Australia Provider (ACAP), ensuring students are supported every step of the way.
