Southern Cross Catholic College offers students in Stage 6 (Yrs 11 and 12) three pathways to provide a variety of options to support our students learning, training and academic success. Each pathway has unique set of courses and selection criteria as listed below:
Choosing this pathway students can gain industry-entry or access further training and education post secondary school.
Students are offered a variety of Specialist VET courses to count toward their Preliminary and HSC credentials and work toward achieving nationally recognised qualifications.
Students can focus on one of four specific industry sectors offered at SCCC – Year 11 suggested pattern of study based by industry

* School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship (SBAT) opportunities are available to students in Year 10, 11 & 12
Choosing this pathway students can work toward gaining entry to a tertiary institution.
Students are required to undertake a minimum of FOUR Category A courses and have the option to include ONE Category B Specialist VET course to count toward their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank and work toward a nationally recognised qualification.

Students wishing to include one or more Performing Arts disciplines (dance, drama or music) must submit an audition for each to confirm their skills, abilities & suitability for the Stage 6 program.
* Audition required only ** Audition required & students must be receiving external training as either a dancer, vocalist or in an instrument to undertake the Stage 6 course
Choosing this pathway students have a passion and talent for the performing arts and will receive specialised training in their chosen discipline(s) to work toward entry to a performing arts tertiary institution if desired.
Students will select ONE Creative Industries Specialist VET course to count toward their Preliminary/HSC pattern of study and work toward a nationally recognised qualification.
All Performing Arts students must study a primary and secondary discipline across the three performing arts courses.
Students are expected to undertake FIVE Category A courses for the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank in this pathway.
